Akai MPC Key 37 G2

The Akai MPC Key 37 G2 is the second generation of the keyboard MPC: a fully standalone production instrument that brings together 37 keys with aftertouch, the legendary MPC pads and a complete production engine. Play chords, write melodies, program beats, sample and arrange full songs without turning on a computer.

Its new 8-core G2 processor delivers four times the performance of the previous generation, with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It supports up to 16 stereo audio tracks and 32 plugin instruments per project, so you can record vocals, capture external instruments and finish complete productions on a single machine.

It runs MPC3, with a track-based workflow and the Linear Arranger for DAW-style song building. When you do need a computer, it integrates effortlessly: Ableton Live Control Mode plus Ableton project import and export. A single USB-C cable carries 24 x 24 multichannel audio, 32 channels of expanded MIDI and device connectivity, and you can sample directly from your phone or tablet.

Its look brings back the cream colourway of the original MPCs from the late '80s. It ships with over 20 GB of content: plugins such as Bassline, Electric, Fabric Select, Hype, Mellotron, Odyssey, OPX-4, Solina, Tubesynth, Drumsynth, Jura and Sub Factory, sound libraries, Native Instruments Analog Dreams (MPC Edition) and two months of Splice.
