Numark was born in 1971 in the United States and is one of the founding names of DJ equipment. In the eighties it was among the first to build turntables designed specifically for turntablism, and delivered a milestone now taken for granted: the DM1775, the world's first mixer with a built-in sampler, letting a DJ record and fire a sound on the fly. Since 1992 it has been part of the inMusic group, based in Cumberland, Rhode Island.
Its role in the market has not changed: putting the gear you learn to DJ on within everyone's reach. Simple, solid mixers, controllers that ship with the software included and affordable turntables sit alongside niche products almost nobody else builds.
At DJMania you will find the M series of analogue mixers — M2, M4 and the M6 USB, from two to four channels, with the EQ and crossfader you expect — plus DJ controllers, headphones and two classics with a name of their own: the PT01 Scratch, the portable turntable with built-in fader that took scratching back to the street, and the Groove Tool with its spare stylus.
It is the brand you turn to when putting together a first DJ booth without giving up reliability, or replacing the two-channel mixer of a venue or rehearsal room.
