RØDE is an Australian microphone manufacturer with an unusual back story: it starts in 1967 in Sydney with Freedman Electronics, the company Henry and Astrid Freedman set up after emigrating from Sweden. Their son Peter Freedman took over the family business and turned it into RØDE, today one of the great export success stories of Australian industry, with its own design and manufacturing in Sydney.
The brand made its name with the NT1, launched in 1991 and over the years the best-selling studio microphone in history, with more than six million units sold. It then pulled off the same trick on new ground — the content creator — with the VideoMic family and the Wireless GO systems.
At DJMania you will find its studio condenser microphones, including complete kits such as the NT2-A Studio Solution, the on-camera microphones — VideoMic GO, VideoMic Rycote, Stereo VideoMic —, the NTG shotgun range for location sound, headphones, booms and all the consumables that go with them: windshields, pop filters and cabling.
It is the brand that solves a voice-over at home, a podcast or the sound of a shoot equally well.
